Privacy
Docfolio hosts documents on behalf of the people who share them. This page explains what is recorded when you view one.
What is recorded when you view a document
When you open a shared document, Docfolio records that it was opened, which pages were viewed and for how long, the type of device and browser, and an approximate location (city and country) derived from your connection. A random identifier is stored in your browser so repeat visits can be recognised. If you opened a personal link, the view is associated with the person that link was created for.
Who can see it
This information is shared with the owner of the document, so they know it was received and read. It is not sold, and it is not used for advertising.
What is not recorded
Docfolio does not ask viewers to create an account, does not read anything outside the document page, and does not set advertising or third-party tracking cookies.
Retention and removal
Viewing records are kept while the document is shared and are removed when the owner deletes it. To ask about a document you received, contact the person who shared it with you.
